Rerohle Economic Forum (REF) is a youth-led initiative founded by a passionate young South African committed to making youth voices central to economic transformation. REF was established by a member of the NMCF Legacy Academy 2025 cohort, as a platform to bridge the gap between young people and the economic systems that shape their lives.

REF advocates for meaningful youth participation in economic policy, grassroots innovation, and national development.

 Our Mission

REF exists to:

  • Promote youth inclusion in economic discussions and decision-making

  • Build platforms for learning, dialogue, and research

  • Create action-oriented opportunities for young people to impact their communities

  • Engage government, business, and society in youth-led economic development
